University of Wisconsin-Parkside - BS, Liberal Arts minor in Biology
Experience
I've been a middle school teacher for the past four years, and have spent the past three years teaching 6th grade science. I earned my teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin, Parkside, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts, with a Biology minor. I'm currently pursuing my master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Before I became a teacher, I spent six years working as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital.I believe that my experience as a teacher has helped me develop the skills needed to create a student-centered learning experience for my students. As I teacher, I work hard to teach my students to be confident in their abilities, as well as to encourage higher levels of thinking and creativity so that my students are inspired to explore the world surrounding them. I tutor students in elementary math, middle school math, Earth science, life sciences, math, and science. I'm also available to work with students who need to develop better organization and study skills. When I have free time, I enjoy exploring new restaurants and eating different types of food. I also like to travel, watch the Green Bay Packers play football, and spend time with my family and my dog, Bella.
